Who is Ben?
Ben, a.k.a. Benjamin Blue Eyes, is a fictional CyberHero who appears on this website in the Adventures of Benjamin Blue Eyes. The mysterious leader of an underground army of mystical misfits, he is the driving force behind resistance efforts to stop a genetically engineered race of snake people from conquering planet earth.

So What is Ben’s Army Anyway?
On this side of the digital divide, Ben’s Army is a fictional force lead by CyberHero Benjamin Blue Eyes. They are fighting to stop the evil Serpentines from taking over the world. In the real world, Ben’s Army is a real force made up of real people that uses Benjamin Blue Eyes as its fictional figurehead in its fight for children’s civil rights.

Why Should We Follow a Cyberhero?
The Children’s Civil Rights Movement is bigger than any one person. By using a larger than life figurehead, we avoid some of the pitfalls of having a human leader.
In the current political climate, anyone who stands up for what is right is immediately attacked on personal grounds. Instead of focusing on his or her cause, this person must waste valuable time countering lies or defending human frailties.

What is the Children’s Civil Rights Movement?
The Children’s Civil Rights Movement is a grassroots movement to change attitudes, minds, and laws so that children are no longer seen and treated as property.
In the not so distant past, women and blacks did not have equal protection under the law, despite the words in the Constitution. Their civil rights were being violated by those who “owned” them. Civil rights movements freed women and blacks but left children behind.
Unfortunately, in many aspects of our society, from child molesters on one hand, to family courts on the other, children are still considered property. Ben’s Army is leading the Children’s Civil Rights Movement to stop the injustices perpetrated upon children by any person, entity, or group that denies our youngest citizens their God given constitutional rights.
